NLC India Renewables and OREDA Sign 1,000 MW Green Energy Agreement in Odisha

NLC India Renewables, a subsidiary of NLC India Ltd., and OREDA formalised a partnership to develop up to 1,000 MW of renewable energy projects in Odisha. The pact outlines joint responsibilities for project identification, land acquisition, and financing.

The targeted capacity is expected to be sourced primarily from solar and wind assets, aligning with Odisha's renewable resource potential and the Indian government's broader clean‑energy goals.

Both parties indicated that the projects will be executed in phases, with initial milestones set for the next 12‑18 months. Funding structures are to involve a mix of equity, debt, and possible government incentives.

The agreement expands NLC India Renewables' portfolio beyond its existing operations and provides OREDA with a credible private‑sector partner to accelerate the state's renewable rollout.
