NDA hopes for one lakh majority for Nellore Mayor candidate

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led NDA alliance leaders have expressed hope of their Mayor candidate winning by a margin of one lakh votes in the forthcoming elections to the Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC).

Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) said the development works taken up in Nellore city and Nellore rural constituencies would be reflected in the votes, helping candidates in all 72 divisions win their seats.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for a cement concrete road costing ₹19 lakh in Hare Krishna Nagar of the corporation’s 20th division, along with his younger brother and TDP State spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy.

He said the 20th division alone had got works worth ₹7.73 crore, as part of the development works taken up in the twin constituencies.

“We are thankful for the confidence reposed on the Nellore NDA leaders by the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and Minister for Education Nara Lokesh, and will meet their expectations,” Mr. Sridhar Reddy said.
